  Its not as simple as that. Women's soccer is not at the same level and does not generate the same revenue as men's soccer!

  I was not happy with what happened to the Queens but remember the black stars and the queens are two different brands though they all wear the same jerseys to play. Why will the Queens play in an empty stadium with no fees being charged at the gate whiles their male counterparts match tickets are sometimes sold in advance just to prevent overcrowding and heavy traffic on match days. Even their failure to qualify for tournaments like the recent AFCON is a national debate. So the black stars is a brand that has been built over the years and it will take more investment and success on the international stage for the ladies to catch the needed attention as their male counterparts. The super falcons of Nigeria just won the recent WAFCON for the unprecedented time but check the reception and euphoria around victory from their country and you will know that the situation is not peculiar to the black queens alone but all round the world.
