Restrain from retaliation:
The Quran teaches that responding to abuse with more abuse is unproductive. Instead, one should control their anger and avoid engaging in fruitless arguments.
Practice graceful withdrawal:
A "beautiful manner" of withdrawal means to separate oneself from those who provoke in a dignified and non-aggressive way.
May God help us
Seek help through prayer:
The Quran advises seeking help through patience and prayer (2:45), emphasizing that true patience requires relying on God's strength.
Persevere with wisdom:
Patience is not about giving up but is an active process of perseverance. It allows one to use their intellect and emotions to find a result-oriented course of action rather than being overwhelmed by emotions.
Recognize the bigger picture:
The Quran suggests that a righteous person remains silent not out of fear, but because they trust in God's ultimate justice.

The context in which the Minister is speaking is to ensure discipline. If everyone is allowed to dress any how, you can imagine how our schools will be.
Even with these bye-laws some of the girls scale walls to visit their sugar daddys at this age.

No one is advocating for the students to dress any how as you stated in your comment. The issue has to do with hair cuts and not dress code. What makes Ghana schools any better than schools in Western countries that many of our graduates run to after high school and university education to seek greener pastures? What studies is the Ministry of Education relying on in its claim that students study better when hair cuts are imposed on them? These students and their teachers need the Ministry of Education to provide them with tools that will help them accomplish their educational goals, not draconian regulations that smack of Taliban drunken regulations.

In as much as we keep comparing ourselves to the whites or the western countries in most of the things, have we considered the context here? We are all aware that the whites naturally have long hair due to their environment/weather but in our case it’s not like that. Considering the whiteman, with just little touches on their hairs, they free to go. But in our case, we have to spend plenty of hours in saloon to maintain our long hair especially if you are not doing natural even with that I bet to differ.
Now let’s consider a 14/15yr old first year student who is newly admitted into a boarding school, this student as part of maintaining his/her long hair has to leave campus go to saloon and spend not less than 4hrs just to fix/maintain the hair. This to me will give the student a divided attention especially at the unmature stage. And this is the stage they have to focus on their academics. Assuming with just washing it with shampoo is ok that would have been fine but to spend more hours all in the name of maintaining the hair to me is time consuming and putting a stop to long hair in our second cycle institutions is the best idea and should be embraced by everyone.

the only reason these teachers dont want girls especially to hair certain hairstyles is this. when these girls have such wild hairstyles they tend to look mature and beautiful and likely to attract the teachers. therefore, if we can get the girls to all shave their heads like a cult or in the army. the chances of these girls attracting others males and even teachers will be done away with. i wen to a catholic high school in toronto. we wore uniforms and a tie. on holidays and on the last friday of each month we wore home clothes to school. kids had all kids of hairstyles braids, dreadlocks, permed, long hair etc. you hair has to be clean and neat and not be smelly. you had teachers checking your dressing every morning in class and if your hair or clothes, skirt was too short you would get a warning, detention or be sent home. kids must be left to be kids. no one would cut anyones hair. if the school does not like your hair you have a choice to leave the school or speak to the principal. the teachers who touches and cuts your hair thats an assault and those responsible must be suspended without pay until the girls hair grows back to what it was

No overgrown hair was allowed for the seven years. So why are we all crying as if this is the first time we are hearing such a policy.?l support the directive. If in the nursing schools, security services training schools, such policy are enforced to the latter, what prevents our senior high schools from doing same .?

The Hijab is not about decency, that is a big lie from the 'Islamic Scholar'. The Hijab was 'revealed' from Allah based on a suggestion by one of Mohammed's companions,Umar, who spied on one of Muhammad's wives while she was taking a shit. Umar had been impressing on Muhammad to order the Muslim women to wear the hijab, but he wouldn't listen until Umar spied on his wife. Then Allah suddenly revealed the verse to agree with Umar. It sounds like a joke because Islam is truly a very stupid cult. Never allow Islam to interfere with public policy. It is a degenerate cult Read below:

It's true that every institutions have their bylaws but there is no bylaws that supersedes individual human rights to education. Uniformity is not quality. When politians send their children overseas for education, they so not because there is uniformity but rather the quality of education. Short hair style cannot mould anybody to become a better person. We watch our leaders accumulate wealth through dubious means with no impunity what do they expect the young ones to do when they placed in high positions after graduation? We are a currupt society and Short hair cut won't make the country a better place until our leaders start leading by a example which won't happen because of greed therefore corruption in Ghana will forever be a generational disease that we will keep passing on.

Nothing but a Taliban and Boko Haram intrusion in the rights of students regarding their hair. Dress code for students makes sense, but the imposition of hair length on students makes no sense.

Massa, even per your Islamic idealogy, girl child education is also haram. The minister's move for disciplining our wards is beyond religion but it defines our culture. Where was this one when an Islamic clergy killed a girl in Syria a few years ago for not respecting her mother and went on to cook the carcass of the girl for the mother to eat.
There are other issues as the Mudzahedin and the Talibans cutting off the heads of women and girls who were going to schools in Afghanistan.
No Islamic clergy protested about it and much more to say that it's heinous crime.
I hate pretenders, people should not come to public and pretend that they are humans, when in reality they have shown that they are really beasts.

Haruna Iddrissu is only diverting attention from his monumental failure at ensuring corruption-free placement of students under the CSSP system. Under him parents are paying huge sums of money to place their unqualified students in the country's prime SHSs. And all he can do is issue Fatwas on native language teaching and hairstyles for students?
Of course, now that we are busy discussing these frivolous matters, haven't we forgotten about the huge mess in school placement under his watch? Clever try, Haruna, but we got you beat.
