  That is an excellent question but can be easily answered. When one goes to the Bank to withdraw funds from the Person’s account, sometimes it takes Thy Kingdom Come to make such withdrawals.

  That is an excellent question but can be easily answered. When one goes to the Bank to withdraw funds from the Person’s account, sometimes it takes Thy Kingdom Come to make such withdrawals.
  There are sometimes customers are told that there is no money and given another day to come. That is also not good for business.
  People who are my age witnessed or were victims whose genuine accounts were frozen and seized by Efo Julor Jeremiah Rawlings’s Government. It is sometimes not worth it to to save money at the Bank.
  Because of what the AFRC did to people who had a certain amount at the Bank, my father who was an Accountant devised a method which he taught his children so that they don’t experience any such situations.
  He exchanged almost all his money into genuine USA Dollars, British Pounds Sterling and French Currency. He then folded them, put them into sealed Plastic bags, pushed them into big bottles and buried them into the dug holes. He made sure that the area will not be suspicious. He went there to take some of the money or add to them. It was only himself, my mother and myself and one other sister who knew of the operation. So, my father was never afraid of Armed Robbers coming to his house for money because they could not get anything reasonable. It was interesting that sometimes he never locked his door when sleeping.
  People keep money at home.That is not the best but because of past experiences. Anyway if you don’t have that much money to become a victim of Armed Robbers, and you have time, the Bank is the place to save your money. Even there, it has now become quite unsafe to put your money there because if you go to withdraw a substantial amount of money, some of the Cashiers are in league with Armed Robbers who shall be waiting outside. The moment you are paid the Cashiers immediately inform the Armed Robbers who may be waiting in their vehicle outside, give them a description of the attire you wore, even shoes and Goggles. The moment you step outside, they immediately follow you and pull out Guns to rob you.. I prefer my father’s technique because it worked for me. NEVER KEEP MUCH MONEY WITH YOU AT HOME. IT CAN BE DANGEROUSLY DANGEROUS.

  Hmmmm. We have been through a Military Rule before where people with huge amounts of money in their Bank accounts were confiscated, they were arrested and sent to the Tribunal to prove their sources of income and the taxes they have been paying. So, after that AFRC nonsense of targeting the very rich in society, some people decided not to take their money to the Bank. During Pay Day, some Banks run out of money and people don’t get paid after queueing so long at the Banks for even their salaries and other deposits.

So if because of AFRC you will keep your money in your room , go ahead, for fire and armed robbers are waiting for you.

What Rawlings did to people with substantial amounts in their accounts is well known and still remembered. I am not that rich. If I were, I shall open an account with Backlays account and be transferring money into an account in British Backlays account which I shall ask to be opened for me. There is no way any crazy supposed stupid Military Government can freeze and seize my account because my account will be in Britain, USA, or Canada where the Rule of Law works and some disgruntled failed Military officers can seize power and seize money.
  Her failure to deposit her money into the Bank caused her but l wish some people would read what my father did so that he would not fall prey to Armed Robbers or any household inferno.
  People who are very rich can open accounts in the USA, Canada, France, and Britain where their accounts will be protected from Crazy dictators, Armed Robbers, and other disasters.

I hardly keep a hundred USD on me so there is not much that Armed Robbers can get if they should attack me. Sometimes, I only keep Twenty Dollars on me to take a Bus. I hardly also put a limitation on how much can be withdrawn from my account using the ATM to a Hundred Dollars.
  Good Citizen, l am very smart and don’t play the fool when it comes to my finances and the Legal System.

I know a treasurer of Taylors and Dressmakers Association whose workshop where he claimed he kept all the association's money burnt! I knew a worker in a company I worked with who intentionally axed his little finger to feign accident so he could get compensation. I know several people who have insured their stores 'setting' ablaze so they make insurance claims. Their modus operandi - they lit one end of a fibre rope and put the other end in a gallon containing petrol. The rope gradually burns until it gets to the petrol and bum!!, there's fire outbreak. Like a coin, every story has 2 sides.
