Didn't he hear the NPP and Bawumia also claiming that they were in the process of bringing it down last year? Why didn't he advise them to keep it where it was because stability is better? This is surely a chew and pour Prof. No sense. Very foolish

Why did he not talk when the local cedi was depreciating? It beats my mind! Why are we doing this to ourselves? The least is to commend the BOG, if keep quite wai. Now prices are quite stable on the market.

Prof,I can't agree with u on ur assertion, the sovereignty of nation is in it defend of it currency, territory, and resources, and government is just doing what the we voted them for, not to allow external force (ie, foreign exchange) to attack it economy, the government have been deliberate on this. And is working well for the country, what is the essence of shoring more reserves when ur exchanges rate is over the roofs and affecting ur economy. Every government is provides interventions when the needs arise to ameliorate the citizenry

Excellent observation, Prof! To date, the BoG has spent about $6 billion to shore up the Cedi on temporary basis. Imagine redirecting such colossal amount into job creation, road, railway, hospital, educational, etc. infrastructure!!! And to think that there are people who support this misguided and wasteful policy! Lord have mercy on us!!! Respectfully, the governor of the BoG deserves to be prosecuted for wasting our resources in order to score political points. How disgusting!

Juvenal Urbino, to shore up the cedi is a constitutional duty to the BoG, the constitution mandate the BoG to protect the value of the cedi, job creation is demand driven we have huge unemployment because the cedi has a weak purchasing power so there is low demand for goods and services, there are a lot of people who want to change their old mattresses but they can't afford new ones people wants to change their room chairs for new ones but can't afford, people wants to repaint their houses but can't afford it due to the weak purchasing power of the cedi, so if people can afford to patronize goods and services that's when jobs can be created, job creation is demand driven just like the 24hr economy
