Your Ward studies hard with your assistance, writes the Examination, passes, and goes to the school that you and your ward chose.. Ghana has gone to the Dogs CONFUSION NO AYE BASAA. Yes, the confusion has become more confusing. Hmmmm. This is when bribery and other forms of corruption comes in.
Since the Education in Ghana is free thanks to Akuffo Addo, let all who attend the Boarding and Lodging be made to pay about 80% of the fees. There should be no exceptions to any person because of the Geographical region that they come from. How can the Children of Mahama and Bawumia go to school in Ghana for free while my parents who are very poor have to pay? Let us go back to the Good Old Days and leave this out of Politics.

The Computerized Placement System is a bogus and useless policy which must be scrapped with immediate effect. The system is inefficient, ineffective and very corrupt. How can one person, (usually the education minister and his gang of thieves and hyenas) sit behind a computer in Accra and determine who gets admitted into Wesley Girls, Holy Child, Adisco, Mfantsipim, etc, all in Cape Coast, St. Louis, Prempeh College etc, in Kumasi, St. James Seminary etc in Sunyani..........? Why should the headmaster/mistress and staff of schools not have a say in who will be attending their schools that THEY will be teaching? The whole process is corrupt. It happened then and it's happening now!
We need to go back to the old system of admissions where schools admit their own students without any involvement of POLITICIANS sitting in Accra. We can modify it a bit by setting up admission boards of each school compromising of:
1. Headmaster/mistress
2. Two staff each of each course/programme
3. The district education director and maybe
4. Assembly member for the electoral area.

We must never include politicians in the admission process. They're not educationists and are very corrupt.
This will immediately stop the concentration of large numbers of people at one place (GNAT HALL) fighting to get admissions for their wards. It will also minimise the corrupt practices in the placement process as students will only go to their schools of choice to check their admission status.
In short let us DECENTRALIZE the system. TAKE OUT THE POLITICIANS WHO ARE SELLING GRADE A SCHOOLS FOR ¢10,000 and ¢20,000.

Education up to College and University Level should be free but those who attend Boarding Schools should be made to pay. That is what happens in Uncle Sam’s country and it works tremendously.. Students up to the High School in their localities do so freely but have to pay when they attend Boarding and Lodging Schools anywhere in the country. Ask the Children of Obama, Clinton, and Trump.

The know parents will anxious and desperate for good schools for their wards and so system is corrupted and rigged to favour them. My so was posted to a school where classes are being held under sheds, no dinning hall, no books and the students fight for desk to sit on. There are documentaries on Facebook and YouTube about the school and the condition is very appalling. . Free education indeed.
