  For ECOWAS not to suffer the same fate as OAU, member nations must agree to install highly secured and robust database system that shall be used by boarder agents and immigration authorities to conduct instantaneous background checks on each travel document provided at ports of entry by member state citizens.
  
  No one can honestly believe and say, with certainty and confidence, that criminals apprehended and those yet to be caught by state security agencies in member nations were not criminals from their home countries until their arrival in host nations.
  
  If Ghanaians, especially NPP members, are going to be engaged in noise pollution about digitization and National ID cards then we should be able put together a network infrastructure with required hardware and associated software to enable external affairs ministries, boarder and immigration authorities to validate credentials presented by each traveler/migrant at ports of entry.
  
  No ECOWAS member nation should be known around the world as unsafe for tourists because of human trafficking and online activities that harm people anywhere but more so online activities that defraud the elderly in developed nations. If online bandits want to engage in their harmful activities in their respective home countries then do be it but not as migrants or visitors in other ECOWAS member states.
