Question for Mr. JDM our President is WHY --why and how come you cluelessly --blurted to the Nation --- the reason for those unemployed youth who have taken to degrading our Farm land, our Forest Reserves and the pollution of our Water bodies in their greedy search for gold -
So, Mr. President and Mr. Agric. minister you see -there is no excuse for you to justify --that these bad guys must be allowed to continue doing the artisanal mining. THESE---ENVIRONMENTAL Terrorists must be dealt with severely. --Their action is a danger to Life --both by their direct assault on people and indirectly on society at large--[pollution of rivers and the degradation of the agricultural lands, this artisanal small scale mining operations must be disallowed immediately for the havoc we see all over the country is an existential THREAT. Mr. President don't tell us it is a livelihood for these bad citizens and because the gold obtained is boosting the county's gold CHEST .It is very, very sad to hear this from JDM----JUST DONT MAKE SENSE --the gold is not as important as the PLANTS BEING DESTROYED, and the Water Bodies being polluted --we eat the PLANTS to live --we drink the water to LIVE. Note that WATER is PRICELESS not the gold --Mr. President STOPPING the GALAMSEY MENACE must be given our topmost priority. --STOP all artisanal small scale mining ventures immediately--- for a foreseeable period----until we can win the vegetations back to Life --likewise our Water Bodies by a serious Tree planting exercise for at least the next 5 years. Let the gold remain in the gold undisturbed --if the Government wants GOLD to build the Nation's gold chest--Government must go invest in Industrial Large-Scale mining. Note that since precolonial times our forebearers have been doing artisanal small-scale mining in any environmentally friendly manner --[RESPONSIBLE] Our PARLIAMENT must pass a BAN Law-NOW--no Legal or Illegal artisanal Small Scale Mining --any violation must attract severe penalty even death by firing squad.--no habeas -corpus --both citizens and non -citizens must be given same treatment. LET PARLIAMENT PASS the LAW. The President can never do anything effective to stop the GALAMSEY MENACE without the BAN LAW by Parliament---; then shall the MILITARY and POLICE deal effectively with all VIOLATORS.
