It was very indiscreet on their part to make specific reference to the angst of NDC foot soldiers unable to join the military due to age limitations. The ideal, nationalistic position should have been a reference to overaged 'Ghanaians' being unable to join the military.

  It is really disappointing to observe that these two relatively young and dynamic persons in the NDC should think in the unproductive frame of mind of their old school compatriots. Am I to understand that Dafeamekpor and Sam George are not aware of the damage that the wholesale political dumping of their "excess baggage" (Party grassroots supporters) into the GAF, is causing? Do they not realize that such improper politically motivated "personnel stuffing" is bound to cause long-term disciplinary problems to the command structure of that institution? Why? Is the GAF not also privileged enough to benefit from the high hopes of the Reset agenda? Why can't a critical national security institution such as the GAF not be left alone to manage its affairs in its peculiar professional manner and style?
  
  When some of us, who think that the current govt is the only remaining hope for this country, see and hear things like this kind of outdated political schemes from their leading and otherwise commendable functionaries, it becomes worrying. But for the shameful shenanigans of the previous govt, I would have thought that this country should have by now overgrown such cheap political gimmicks that is only meant to save face from inherited huge figures of unemployed youth, but, at the expense of discipline and professionalism of the GAF.

A national cake (service recruitment) was shared to NPP MPs. Enlistment was done two months to voting and in the course of voting, they'll release this potential recruits to go and vote wit warning.
