But this must start from the "head" even if symbolically. If it doesn't the natural expectations of disciplined youngsters for a just and disciplined society will quickly turn to frustration and the consequences will be calamitous. May this project make Ghana great and strong....Again.

  Do not give military training to civilians because our society is so corrupt now that military training will simply equip criminals to use their experience in illegal activities. This is not the time. Training people to be disciplined and resilient doesn’t have to come from the military. Don’t arm criminals, you will regret.

  There's a correlation between indiscipline among the youth and lack of economic opportunities. Vladimir Putin saw this when he first came to power in Russia. Many male youth in Russia were running away from Military service bcoz they felt there were no jobs for them.The President quickly improved the economy of that country, increasing wages several folds and created so many jobs for those unemployed youth. Today Russia has several millions of those Military trained youth, standing by prepared to defend their deat nation.

  I agree with you on some of your points but correlation is not causation, so we need to assess the impact of giving military capabilities to a hungry, corrupt young men and women on the larger society. Resilience, discipline and leadership are all essential qualities but they are situated in the mind. Psychology can do a better job but needs to be done outside the military.

What the NSA has begun can easily light the patriotic fire that propels our nation into a great and prosperous star amongst the nations of the world.

  Please in that situation, make sure to have ambulances available because not all the service personnel are fit for military ( minor ) training, and that's why not all of them apply to be in the Army... .It's a good idea thoug ...

  Misplaced priorities. There still many schools under trees that could benefit from the funds that the government intends to waste ion military training for national service personnel. Rural farmers too could benefit from such funds used as small loans for them to purchase tools or hire farm help. Why do African countries keep wasting their resources on meaningless projects and then resort to begging for alms from crooks like Trump and other foreign sources?
