  Has this Toxicologist just arrived In Ghana? Does he know that then Ashanti Goldfields Corporation (AGC) was operating the Pompora Treatment Plant (PTP) and for years, its ROASTING PLANT was discharging ARSENIC, a by-product of CALCINE into the atmosphere through their tall chimneys thus contributing to the FAMOUS OBUASI ANKAA (Obuasi Oranges) which were at that time VERY TASTEFUL hence the famous Obuasi ankaa. Arsenic is poisonous but people with little or no practical experience are blowing the issues with galamsey out of proportion. Some ignorant people are mentioning CYANIDE, CYANIDE, CYANIDE but I would like the whole of Ghana to know that the galamseyers DO NOT USE CYANIDE IN THEIR OPERATIONS. CYANIDE IS NOT A COLLECTOR OF GOLD but rather dissolves GOLD and the galamseyers do not have the technology to extract the dissolved gold from CYANIDE.

It's not true just a single drop of arsenic can give you cancer . He also wanted to ridicule the EPA that she used the term dechemicalizing water body as result of galamsey. He said it's unscientific. He was rather embarrassing himself. The word dechemicalizing or dechemicaluzation refers to the process of removing toxins or chemicals from substances in this case water.
