The Ghana government must enforce the ban of the importation of mercury because without it, the galamseyers can't carry on with their illegal activity. The galamseyers dont have the technology to employ the CYANIDATION process so their operations will grind to a HALT. What I'm saying is that the galamseyers DON'T use cyanide in their operations because they don't have the technology. Let it be known that CYANIDE rather dissolves gold and a process called ADSORPTION AND DESORPTION is employed in large tanks containing ACTIVATED CARBON fitted with agitators before the gold laden activated carbon is desorped and the gold laden cyanide solution is passed through ELECTROWINING CELLS before the gold is extracted. A very complex process so galamseyers CANNOT use CYANIDE. Cyanide poisoning is fatal, kills instantly unlike lead and mercury.

I live in the USA now, and one thing I’ve really noticed is how seriously they take their environment. You hardly ever see open gutters or heaps of rubbish lying around. Everything is planned with health and cleanliness in mind.

Sometimes I wonder — our Ghanaian leaders travel around the world, see all these good things with their own eyes, but come home and do the complete opposite. Why?

I once asked a scientist here why all the gutters are covered, and he told me something that shocked me: covering them helps prevent about 70% of diseases. That means they only have to deal with the remaining 30%.

It really made me think — if simple things like this can save lives, why can’t we do the same back home?
