Is Paul not Ghanaian, there is nothing inherently wrong with lobbying for a position, but it is unacceptable for him to claim that ‘the boy asked him to create a position for him.’ This clearly exposes how positions were being created for their own members.

It must also be remembered that Ato Ahwoi was instrumental in creating many of the enemies that the Rawlings family faced. He even sought to control President Mills and, after Mills’ death, tried to take over the NDC. Throughout his time in the party, he has been one of the most influential but also one of the most divisive figures.

Much of the internal conflict within the NDC during the 4th Republic under President Rawlings can be traced back to his actions. His continuous attempts to assert himself as the leader of the party have caused long-lasting damage. For the sake of the little respect he may still hold, he should put an end to these actions. Many see his behavior as deceptive, and his record within the NDC remains one of controversy and manipulation.
