  You know how Mahama said romance scammers will end up in prison, with free food and accommodation?
  Well, there’s some truth in that.
  
  The small boys sit on WhatsApp and Facebook, typing “Hello, my dear, I love you” to somebody in Europe or America. Next thing you know — Interpol knocks, they’re shipped off to the very country they were dreaming of. Their “honeymoon” ends in handcuffs. But hey, at least they finally made it to Europe… all expenses paid!
  
  Now flip it. Mahama and the big men? Their scams are not against Europe. They don’t trick lonely ladies in Texas or Paris. No — their victims are Ghanaians. Airbus money, Akonfem contracts, missing millions… all sucked straight out of Accra.
  
  So where’s his “free trip” to the West?
  No, no, no. When you scam Ghana, Ghana is the victim. That means your free accommodation package isn’t London, or New York. It’s Nsawam. And the only Airbus ticket you’re getting is Economy Class straight to Cell Block B.

  I recently had a Nigerian woman come to my office for something. She claims to have a man and they’ve been chairing for a while. The man wants to visit her and she needed my assistance for some documents.
  
  She excitedly showed me the picture and lo and behold, it was Samuel Eto. The infamous Cameroonian footballer.
  
  I glanced over and shook my head. Samuel Eto is 44 years and the woman in question is 58. She works for some local council in London.
  
  Why would Samuel Eto , with all his wealth and circle of women , come for a 9-5 working divorcee in London? I thought .
  Anyway, this woman is a Nigerian. I was shocked that the ususal suspect, is now being hunted. Probably by her own Nigerian brother somewhere in Surelere.
  
  If I was a womaniser , I would’ve chopped her easily.
  
  I informed her of who Samuel Eto was. She still insisted he’s getting a divorce to come and marry her.

You're working with foreign nations on the extradition of scammers in Ghana so that they can be punished in those countries for their crimes, punishment that includes serving prison time. Why then is the policy of the Ghana government to deport foreigners caught engaging in galamsey instead of making these foreigners serve prison time in Ghana?
