  1. Inflation reduction & macro‐economic stabilisation
  
  Inflation dropped from ~23.8% in December 2024 to ~11.5% by August 2025.
  
  The Ghanaian cedi appreciated considerably, and for a period was named by Bloomberg the best-performing currency.
  
  Upgrades in Ghana’s sovereign credit rating have been reported, signalling improving investor confidence.
  
  
  
  2. “Reset Agenda” rollout
  
  The government initiated what they call the Reset Agenda to restructure Ghana’s economic foundations, stabilize currency, restore public trust.
  
  
  
  3. Tax/levy reforms and relief
  
  Several unpopular taxes were abolished: the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), emissions levy, betting tax.
  
  There was also a review of taxes/levies on industrial and agricultural imports.
  
  
  
  4. Reduction in government size / efficiency & governance reforms
  
  The ministry benches (number of ministers & deputies) were reduced to a capped ~60, aiming for a leaner government.
  
  Instituted a Code of Conduct for government appointees, with limits on perks (for example limiting first-class air travel, satellite TV, etc.).
  
  
  
  5. Anti-corruption measures / accountability
  
  Investigations into previous unresolved criminal cases (e.g. violence at elections, murders, etc.).
  
  Implementing audits and probes of past regimes under what’s described as “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL)”.
  
  
  
  6. Environmental protection & addressing illegal mining
  
  Moves to ban illegal mining (“galamsey”) in forest reserves and water bodies; new taskforces; reclamation of degraded land; environmental initiatives such as “Tree for Life” and “Blue Water Initiative”.
  
  Establishment of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) to centralize and regulate the gold trade, especially among small-scale miners.
  
  
  
  7. Social interventions and education reforms
  
  Launched “One Million Coders” programme to train youth in tech/digital skills.
  
  Free tertiary education for persons with disabilities; efforts to support vulnerable groups.
  
  Convened National Education Forum to review/improve educational policies.

  And has all this improved your day to day life likecatching trotro where prices are still increasing, food still getting expensive, bill(utilities) still increasing, city roads still bad. Whilst Mahama has been a source of fresh air to the Ghanaian people let’s not sugarcoat any achievements until we feel it in our pockets. Our job as the electorate is to hold our government accountable for continued improvements in our living standards not spouting rhetoric of stats that mean nothing to the ordinary citizen.

  Another historical feat done by John Mahama is the first time Ghanaians have seek refuge in nearby Ivory Coast, Togo and Burkina Faso. Conflict victims from Gbinyiri, Sawla, Bole Bamboi Tuna are on their heels due to tribal conflicts in the prasident and his chief operation officer jakpa own area. The first time such a historic event has taken place.

  Another record set by the mahama government is how students are being draged from their classroom in Bawku.

  Mahama's computer placement is also another historical record. Students from Central , Western have been placed at Upper West, Upper East and not even in the boarding house but day students. Military aircrafts are state resources and this man was using them as if they're his private resources. Remember this man called JJ came into power on the mantla of probity and accountability. If we can remember well, when he first came into power the households with more than one or two toilets in their homes were brutalized.
