China's former minister for agriculture has been sentenced to death on corruption charges, with a two-year reprieve, a court statement said.

Tang Renjian accepted cash and property bribes totalling more than 268 million yuan (€32.4 million) between 2007 and 2024, the People's Court of Changchun in northeast Jilin province said in a statement.

The court ruled that the bribes "caused particularly severe losses to the interests of the state and the people, and therefore warranted the death penalty", adding that Tang had confessed to his crimes and expressed remorse.

Mr Renjian sentencing is the latest in President Xi Jinping's sweeping anti-graft campaign that has brought down several high-level figures.

I have been a Teacher for many many years and I still think that there is no way an Assistant Head should be in any position apart from Teaching and Learning in the presence of other students, people, or parents. In Uncle Sam’s country, Teachers are not even allowed to have private Telephone conversations with their students. Private conversations can be done so long as it is Counseling, not educational which must be in the presence of their parents or Guardians. When School closes, I am done with everything private with all my students. Any conversation with any of my students should be done with their parents, and I will insist in recording them. Some Teachers are do not know that some bad students, and even families can frame us charges on Teachers that they don’t like for any reason. Just inform the school Administration that you record all conversations that students have with you after class and school. That will help save Teachers from being falsely accused and put in a bad situation. My students are not my friends to have chats with after class and School.

My students are not my friends so I don’t have any communication s whatsoever with them alone, and not with the Knowledge of their parents and Guardians. I also make the School Administrators, Parents, Guardians and the student involved that I record every conversation I have with them privately. That is the best way Teachers can avoid being framed up with any charges. I always tell my students not to call me outside the school time but that their parents and Guardians can, and that I record and conversations I may have with their parents after class or school. I definitely don’t want to be framed up in any kind of trouble. Yes, and I have taught in various schools and colleges for over Forty Years without any trouble. I take my students as their IN LOCO PARENTES which in Latin means IN STEAD OF THEIR PARENTS.
As a sports person, I was and still am very close to my students but always careful with how close I have to be with my students. Yes, and I started teaching at an early age that some of my College students that I taught at SDA Teacher Training College were even older than me.
My students at the Sixth Form at Ghana Secondary School at Tamale were also older than me. The best thing for Teachers to do is to relate to their students respectful and also appropriately. That will take away all Teacher-Students relationships and troubles away. Let me say something very funny here. I don’t allow students in my house after classes. They could only do so at the Weekend when my wife and mother are with me on a visit. I had many female student friends when I was teaching at a college. This became so because they were the friends of my sisters who were also students in the college and had finally become inseparable friends with my wife. But me and a female student in a NICODEMUS POSITION, may God forbid. Anyway if a student decides to come to look for me in the evening after school, the one will be disappointed because I will be in town with my Right Hand holding a glass or bottle that may usually contain something transparent but it is not water or any poison.Hahahaha. Members know what I mean because they are also guilty if that action is a crime. If you think it is a crime, then go to your Bible and find out the First Miracle that Jesus Christ performed.

It might be true but the death of JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS gives me and you hope for everlasting life by faith and accepting Him publicly and confessing He died on the cross to save us from damnation to eternal life.
This is confirmed in the scripture in the Bible John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life.
Besides also read Romans 3:23 - which says, All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of GOD.
Also read 1John 1:9- which says,If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all evil and unrighteousness.
May the Holy interprete this to the understanding whoever reads these Holy Words from the Word of God.
