My dear Oko Boye, you used to be a very fine gentleman I admired but unfortunately, you’ve allowed your quest for political relevance and power to taint your once beautiful and admirable self leading to many not liking you.
As a young man, who is exposed to higher education and having occupied very prestigious positions in our republic, I expect you to be very much truthful to the truth and not allow partisan politics cloud your mind and judgment.
What is your definition of freedom of speech? Does it include hate speech, insults, threats, tribal bigotry? Why do you allow these to escape your mind and make such statements for political gain?
Let me offer you some free advice; as someone under whose watch the La General Hospital was pulled down, I expect you to be fighting for your people since you told us that there was funds available for a new hospital to be constructed. Push this government to use the said money to build the hospital for your people.
Again, you defended almost everything that went wrong in your backyard, today, nothing has come out of your vociferous defense. Please for love of your people, the very people you want to represent in parliament, champion this cause for them.
Lastly, I do advise that you don’t try find political relevance in defending views that goes against conscience and culture; it’s not right to insult and threaten your elders so don’t defend it. I’m not sure if I do same to you, you’d sit idle saying it’s freedom of speech. It’s common sense that it is not, so don’t defend it.
I was expecting you to be offering free consultation as you used to do whiles in office, it made me a better option. Please go back to it if you’ve stopped. Don’t use your time to defend wrong, you’re a fine gentleman.
