It demands more, especially when Israel supported by Uncle Sam knows that it did not start the recent conflict and that its survival in the Middle East is at risk. If Israel is sanctioned but continues with the fight, what will be achieved then. We very much know that Israel did not start the present conflict and she is secretly supported by some European and even Middle Eastern countries and Uncle Sam.
The World needs to convince Israel to stop the war but more importantly to convince the Palestinians not to engage in any activities that would start any such war. Let us understand that Israel also fears for her very survival. Benjamin Netanyahu will not just end the conflict when there are threats and daily attacks on Israel from the Palestinians.. Secretly, there are even some Arab countries that do not care very much on what is going on between Israel and the PLO. Many of the Arab countries will not want to have the people of GAZA to be resettled in their country when the war should end. The Palestinians should be educated not to start any war that they cannot win but stand to lose gravely. How did the recent war in the region started? Personally, I think the war should end but the Palestinians should also be made to understand not to attack Jews for no reasons, knowing that the outcome would be very pathetic as it is now.

Every now and then Israel will bomb them as they want. I guess you don't know this. Also, you talked about Israel the US government support for Israel. You are right on that but the reason is not because Hamas started anything. Even if Hamas has not started this round of aggressions, the US would have still supported the Israelis. The real issue with the US is that most the politicians are bought and paid for and some have compromised themselves in situations that could be used to blackmail them. Same can be said support of some of the Arab nations as is with Egypt situation, look at the amount of aid that US give them each year. That's the reason why Egypt will not do anything. Another issue with the Arab nations is a generational issue. Most of the current generation can not identify with what their parents identified with.
