Let's be consistent, did all the persons who were removed pursuant to Article 146 of the Constitution of 1992 receive their retirement benefits as well?
Our constitution is not dormant, and we should not operate as if it were. If the Constitution requires equality before the law, let's endeavor to apply it to the latter. Call me a naive and constitutional extremist; the law is the law, Martin!

What new theory is Kpebu propounding? Are we now seeking to award wrong doing? If the five'-man committee found the former CJ guilty, then what is Kpebu saying? He should tell us if some are more equal before the 1992 constitution. As far as I know, all are equal before the law. The woman flagrantly violated the law and must therefore submit herself to the full consequences. The CJ fought back desperately by even coming to the public domain to shout foul. No matter the noises she and the backcloth made, the law still stands and will prevail.

I don't have a problem with doing something for her.
However, if it should be done, what law backs the government to do it without later being cited for involving in an illegality?

The dismissed chief justice Torkornoo had the chance to resign or retire in order for her to maintain her pension but she chose to fight her case and lost it which led to her dismissal. Every where in the world any employee who is fired looses his or her retirement benefits. That is the law. Torkornoo is even demanding $10 million from the government. Kpebu does not know the law better than any one in Ghana and he has become irrelevant. One can only plead with the government to tamper justice with mercy to give Torkornoo some of her retirement benefits but that will set a precedent that will come back to hunt the government . Martin Kpebu must shut up.
