Complex issues that need a wholistic approach by all stakeholders. Why should Kofi Broke man, aka tax payer bear the nursing training expenses for Efua, the nurse, knowing very well that within two years she will leave the country? Most nursing care provided in public health facilities are below standard with little accountability. The other side of the problem is that health care professionals are underpaid in the public sector. A sensible solution but unattainable in a polarized political society is Performance Based Pay.
