  Apart from state of emergency, there are steps the gov't can take to reduce or stop galamsey. The manufacturing of changfans must be banned as it's not use for any other thing apart from galamsey activities. All galamsey/small scale mining activities must be put on hold, total ban is the way forward and shoot to kill will definitely bring galamsey activities to a hault. The president must stop beating about the bush as none of the actions being taken is strong enough.
