18 months imprisonment for stealing chicken? Are we serious here in Ghana? You are asking corrupt politicians to pay back the stolen monies from the public and no prison sentence, and why 18 months prison sentence for chicken thief? He could also be asked to pay back the stolen chickens instead of prison sentence even for a day. To have food is a basic need, whether buying or stealing. If the purpose of stealing was for personal consumption, then this should be a minor crime and it deserves no prison sentence. The guy is a Ghanaian and it is the responsibility of the government to provide him the basic needs whether he is employed or not employed. The corrupt politicians should be behind the bars but not a chicken thief. Did the chicken owner get anything in return? For sure not!
