I struggle to understand some Ghanaians, especially people who think like you do. Whether someone voted for Mahama, Bawumia, Alan Kyeremanteng or Cheddar isn't the issue here. I may lack the requisit educational acumen to comment on this, but logic tells me that Ghana is for GHANAIANS. Our leaders steal our resources and deposit them into offshore accounts, solely for their benefit while the average citizen struggles. Our leaders have cooks, garden boys, security to help them enjoy life. All this at the expense of people like you who don't care as long as it's your party in power. Having criminals of foreign nationals deported to our country isnt a problem for our leaders. Trust me, for they are shielded from their activities, if some of these deportees are indeed criminals. All our leaders care about is the money they collect to acquiesce to this policy. Meanwhile, when these people are introduced into the community, it's the average person who suffers.

Is Ghana's economy anywhere near Nigeria's? Is Ghana's military size and capabilities anywhere near Nigeria's? Is the wealth of Ghana anywhere near Nigeria's? Qe are nowhere near Nigeria. So why should we accept deported Nigerians to Ghana, then?

The Ghana government has no timeline to fight galamsey, but it has all the time in the world to deal with Trump and his bullshit. Perhaps Ablakwa needs to explain why Trump could not ship his deportees to their various countries but Ghana can allow itself to be a dumping pit for those deportees. President Mahama claims the ECOWAS protocol allows free travel within West African countries by their citizens, but does that ECOWAS protocol doesn't sanction the dumping of Trump's deportees in West African countries.
