In fact the Danquah-Busia tradition taught Ghanaians how to organise coup de tats in Ghana. So after the 1966 coups, military upsurpation of democratic governments became part of our culture until Rawlings came to stop the series of coups. Rawlings gave Ghana political stability after Danquah and his cohorts propagated the culture of coups in Ghana. Rawlings is the father of the father of the fourth Republic which people like Atta Kay his party enjoyed during the last 8 years and continue to have the freedom to write these nonsense that what happened to Nkrumah's regime was a reaction of bad governance. Was asking if he had the video of his Amartey Kwei interview a normal question in a law court for which a person could be invited? That question could have been asked privately.
He visited the UK shortly when the reconciliation committee's efforts were underway, and the noise level in the country submerged conventional thought. They accused him of bolting and ducking invitation as if this wasn't the same Jerry John who stood in front of his co-conspirators and called the court martial stupid for asking him of his motives for a coup d'état when that outburst could have landed him in serious trouble not excluding execution. That's what's called a man!
