These so-called civil society guys must stop disrespecting the president. The president made bold statements yesterday. There is evidence of active fight against illegal mining. He lost his abled lieutenants through a helicopter crash. What more sacrifice do you want? Mr president, gather all the noise makers and put them on the front lines.

Kwesi, your words are loaded: ‘He lost his abled lieutenants through a helicopter crash. What more sacrifice do you want?’ Are you implying they were sacrificed, or was it simply a tragic accident? Clarity matters here

how can you purchase gold from an illegality?. Also I pray all those pastors and other demonstrators had the country at heart close to the elections last year. Hope they had good and genuine intentions. The streets where they matched are still there. All they need is their black and red outfits. Don't stop...Government needs the noise and strikes for things to change.

The river Ayensu has been completely so completely polluted, and now the entire eastern part of the central region is devoid of potable water. We probably have crossed, the point of no return, because of our politicians shortsightedness, selfishness and greed. South Africa, Canada, USA, Burkina Faso, Mali, Cote D'ivoire all are major gold producers, yet they don't face this self inflicted catastrophe, as we do.

KEN ( Sir) : Is this as Simple as It seems ?
Some say Ghana’s 4 million small-scale miners could just switch to farming or other alternatives. Reality check: gold pays far more than crops, and most miners lack land, capital, or training. Quick shifts could spark economic stress and social unrest.
The fight also demands political accountability, long-term livelihood planning, and environmental restoration. Globally, illegal mining is never just enforcement—it’s about balancing lives, law, and land.
Bottom line: Arrests alone won’t solve galamsey. Sustainable solutions need strategy, alternatives, and patience.

May I ask....any statements from the so-called Civil Organisations on the way forward about the galamsey??. They were too loud before the last general election. Why are they quiet now?. Only God knows. For now, we've known where they came from. And the party they did its bid. Are they in Ghana?? May God be with them.
