  Poverty, poverty and poverty is the root cause of a woman tag as a witch. Who can accuse the mother, wife, daughter or a sister of a rich man in the North as a witchcraft? It's always the poor old lady who's tag as a witch especially when a family member or her spouse pass on. If parliament can do something about witchcraft phenomenon, then it's not passing anti-witchcraft bill but to alleviate abject poverty. Look at the distance between where the witch camps are located and Accra, the bill if passed will have no effect whatsoever on the witch camps. Can the bill dismantle the witch camps?

  Witchcraft accusations is nationwide. It is foundation of most churches with it associated false prophecies. The grand objective is to put fear in the congregation in other to extort money from them. Witchcraft accusations have disintegrated families and resulted in mental breakdown to victims. The elite have all been deceived by the false teachings of these so called men of God. These so called men of God have hijacked those elected to govern the nation. Ephesians 6:12 have been wrongly interpreted to suit the grand agenda of these so called men of God whose cardinal objective is to amass wealth. To limit the effect of this shameful unfounded witchcraft accusations to witches camp in the north is under statement. The collapse of Ghana rural economies, the mass migration of the youth to the cities and it's associated anti social vices are all ripple effects of witchcraft accusations. God does repay as for our corrupt acts against humanity but the consequences on our lives is blamed on witchcraft. The fear of God has eluded majority in Ghana because people take satisfaction in seeking non existing spiritual protection against witchcraft. People no more care about the consequences of their corrupt acts on their fellow human beings. How can a whole leader of a church label a defined area in a region in Ghana as demonic headquarters. These accusations have no foundation in the teachings of Christ. It is this same so called men of God who have hijacked the passage of the anti witchcraft bill into law. They have contributed greatly to the indicipline in the Ghanaian society. They have taken the fear of God from the people. Let those whom the nation power is vested raise to the occasion. It is urgent as crucial to pass the anti witchcraft bill into law. Let Ghana as a nation embrace the absolute power of God.
