Imagine people are put in prison justifiably for the crimes they commit. Then a benevolent Man comes along to pay the full penalty for their release by being imprisoned in their stead. But some of the inmates refuse to acknowledge this benevolent Man and His good gesture and insist on staying imprisoned, what can you do??

All of humanity were plunge into Satan's prison (kingdom of darkness) by Adam, our father. Jesus then came along and paid the full penalty for the redemption and total freedom of humanity through His substitutionary sacrifice, resurrection, ascension and exaltation as Lord. Meanwhile, some people are not aware of this payment, hence, the command to preach the good news (that they were already set free by Christ Jesus).

However, others chose, by an act of their will, to remain with Satan. Now, the truth is, whoever is your Lord in life will be your Lord also in eternity. God is sending absolutely no one to Hell or the Lake of Fire. Instead, people will go to Hell because that is the permanent destination of their Lord (Satan). And wherever your Lord is, there you will be also. The ticket to Heaven is accepting Jesus' offer of salvation by believing in Him, and His sacrifice for you and then, boldly declaring His Lordship over your life. You can do that now if you've not done that already. Remember, the moment you close your eyes permanently on earth, there's no more chance to make that all important decision because you've already entered into eternity, where your fate is settled.
