  Until the Brifor and Lobi people understand they are settlers and can not be landowners in Gonja and Walla areas this conflict will never end. We are even lucky it is still limited to only the Gonja area. John Mahama has got nothing to do with this conflict so stop associating him with it. It is the ungrateful Brifor and Lobi people who should be blamed for biting more than they can chew. Nobody will sit down and allow another group of people to take over your land because they claim they have been on the land for decades.

  Even literate like Seidu echo the antiquated convictions of his parents and opinion leaders. The Gbiniyiri incident was a "land dispute" which ignited the long-standing ethnic tensions between the Gonja and the Birifor. I know that journalists are circumspect in drawing the clear lines. It is Gonjas vs Birifors. The Gonjas are the better-armed and prepared majority. The Birifors (outside Gbiniyiri who had nothing to do with the land dispute) are the minority caught unawares. I guess most of the dead are Birifor and all those on exile (about 50k) are Birifor. But this must stop. We are no longer looking for who is right or wrong. The trigger is the murderers in Gbiniyiri which can be prosecuted. Gonjas are very welcoming and peace-loving. I will repeat this over and over again. Since 1935 when the first Birifors settled in Gonjaland, the current war is the first we have ever seen. Anger is the fuel.

Look, the youth up north are not afraid of the police anymore so if government indeed wants to bring peace to the people there, she should deploy an alternative security source other than the police. Period!

Stop this killings because you are embarrassing our president with this nonsense. I am sure the president is not happy that his own tribe men could not solve this matter amicable to give him the necessary peace to rule the nation. How can he preach peace to the masses if his own backyard is burning. Karma will surely get those people who have disregarded the law and went on killing spree. What goes around comes around for sure. Nobody will die and carry the land on earth to heaven or hell. Stop the killing and let peace reign because you are one brothers and sisters from the north.

They boast about fighting other tribes and they feel great doing so. What happened at Gbentein is sickening but for the first time the birifours have resisted this evil group. It's such a disgrace. In 2025 you are still calling people settlers. What does the Nyange monument tell you? Was it used to hold only Gonjas? Birifoir slaves were also held in that building. That was more than 500 years ago and you still call people settlers. I'm a brifour living in Germany and after 3 to 5 years they do not call me a settler anymore. It is so shameful what the Gonjas are taking people through. I think it's lack of education and people are mostly ignorant. The abuse of the brifour people must stop. I'm a brifour but some of have sacrificed everything unimaginable for a gonja man to a president. Do you know what i have lost for Mahama to be president?
