Good message, yes—his vision to build factories from local materials and even waste is clever. But what’s the point when he keeps shouting that his top priority is empowering his party boys? Even if that’s his secret plan, common sense should tell him never to say it out loud. Sometimes I wonder if he’s been dabbling with evil spirits, because honestly, what normal human being talks like that and still expects a whole nation to vote for him?

Any serious leader should know that Ghana’s engagement with the IMF is not optional. It’s a reality of our current debt position. Whether or not we seek fresh loans, negotiations will remain necessary to manage existing obligations. In today’s interconnected global economy, no country can simply detach itself and hope to thrive.
The real conversation should be about building sound policies, demonstrating credibility, and negotiating in a way that strengthens investor confidence. Suggesting that we can simply ignore or bypass the IMF creates false hope and shows a lack of appreciation for the complexities of governance.

One thing I've always said is that all of our politicians are crooks, including Kennedy Agyapong and Mahama. Whether Kennedy Agyapong got his money from illicit sources or not, I don't know. Whether he had a hand in the death of some people, I don't know. What I do know is that he cares enough about people to open businesses with his (ill-gotten) money to help them, compared to those of our leaders who steal and open offshore accounts to be enjoyed by their relatives and friends. I have read several accounts where he was financially responsible for returning home many Ghanaians who were trapped in the Middle East. And he's generous to people confined to our country, too.
Yes, he is steeped in braggadocio, and is known to have nauseatingly asymmetric responses to those who insult or cross him. However, as far as caring for Ghanaians, I don't know anybody who comes close to him besides Kwame Nkrumah and perhaps our late Professor Mills.

Ken seems not yo understand governance at all. We owe the IMF and need to still negotiate, even if we are not taking loans from them. He shouldn’t forget, we live in an interconnected global economy and Ghana cannot isolate itself from foreign influence. Even great America negotiate on many fronts. One thing I don’t like about Ken is, he makes governance seem as simple as managing a cold store. Chief Ken, governance is a complex process which doesn’t align with any of the ideas and believes you preach. I will advice you to go back to school for a while and learn before you join the presidential race. Many people try to compare with Troure and Kigame, but they forget being in the military that long provides rich education and the discipline required for leadership. Ken should focus on his business and stop deceiving himself about his presidential potential. He will fail miserably if he is mistakenly elected. Governance is more complex than he thinks.

the question is, would the IMF firstly be in position to compel Ghana to come to them? do 'right' and IMF will not put a gun to your head to come to them.

Please Ken stop that and don't be naive. You were an MP for over 20yrs and a part of those who voted for the IMF DEBT restructuring program. Ghana has never paid a dime since 2015 and owes 25 Nations and being covered by this program so how can you function without making a deal as such? You not cut for Geopolitics in this modern world so retire peacefully and enjoy your money, the ones you acquired through this deals. Sorry sir!!
