What we have done and Agyapa Mercer has said will scare investors. We are now tainted badly as a country that is light in Africa.

When the investors start to speak and international community start to pile pressure on Ghana, it will not be NDC or NPP. It is when Ghanaians will know that Ghana is not an island and we must prove that we are a respector of rule of Law.

Mr. Mercer, as a lawyer and former legislator, should know better. His remarks on Adom TV were framed as a response to President Mahama’s constitutionally mandated removal of Chief Justice Torkornoo under Article 146(9). Whether one agrees with the outcome or not, the process was lawful. Responding with threats of institutional purging is not reform—it is retaliation.
Mr. Mercer, Ghana’s democracy is resilient but not invincible. It depends on leaders who speak with restraint, act with integrity, and model reverence for the rule of law. I urge you to clarify your remarks, reaffirm your commitment to constitutional governance, and help restore public trust in our judiciary.
Let us teach the next generation that power is not a weapon but a trust. Moreover, that justice, when truly independent, is the shield of the republic.

Now back and listen to was Afenyo Markin said when Charlotte Osei was removed. He said it wasn't the former president who removed her but rather the system and the constitution and if the same system and constitution has removed somebody, you saying it's wrong. For your information, always think of if tomorrow comes when planning. Where would you be in 2029, have you asked yourself that.
