As a matter of fact, my aged mom advised me strongly to be wary of Gas and Ewes because according to her their character is not good, and my Ga neighbor's behavior actually confirmed what my mom warned me about. On my return to North America after a holiday, my Ga neighbor pleaded with me to carry some fish her family wanted to send her. Now her relative didn't bring me the fish at home for me to see and load them in my luggage. She rather brought it at the airport when I was about to check out. To make matters worse the fish she brought was almost luggage full, and I had to load them one by one in my own luggage because I wasn't going to carry any additional luggage at my cost. I brought this fish to my neighbor without problem. 2yrs later, she went on a vacation to Ghana, and I contacted her if I can send her some money to buy me some 5 or 6 pieces of fish since they cost a lot of money here in Ghanaian shops. To my dismay, she refused telling me she has no room in her luggage to put 5 or 6 pieces of fish. That behavior alone exposed to me how Ga people are.

The Accra Regional Minister who it seems from the above article, is being encouraged by the Ga Chief, should be made to understand that, the onus and privilege of hosting the capital city of Kwame Nkrumahs great Ghana comes together with shared intellectual and material resonsibilities of massive proportions. To lose guard or to present oneself as incompetent for one reckless minute in this regard, can cause irreparable or long-lasting serious problems for this country - not excluding the threat of civil strife. I think this is not a big deal. First of all, why did the authorities omit the Ga greeting from the greetings on the signage at the airport? This should have been noticed long ago and corrected by adding it. Just add it.

I initially believed the Ga people were manority in the greater Accra especially when non Gas like Adwoa Safo, Urslar Owusu and co were members of parliament in dominant Ga districts and they were there supressing Ga language while promoting twi as if it was the dominant tribe in Accra.

The Ga people must take control of their region. They have become an obscured tribe in their own region of dominance. Can you imagine putting the ga signage of Obaake at the Prempeh airport in Kumasi ? Your guess is as good as mine. There was a time when someone who is not a Ga suggested that the Homowo should not be celebrated and other non Gas saying derogatory comments about some of our culture and traditional cultures customs without any repercussions from the chiefs of the Ga state . The Gas must have absolute control over Ga lands and it is pathetic that they have sold all their land to outsiders without thinking about their children and grandchildren.
