WHEN WILL THE NDC ADHERE TO THE ROLE OF THE JUDICIARY IN OUR DEMOCRATIC DISPENSATION?   

The NDC has always been on the collision course with the Judiciary. It didn’t start from today. It started when that criminal Jeremiah John Rawlings seized power and overthrew a democratically elected government in 1981. He first set aside the judiciary and established his kangaroo courts in the country— and he called that illegal court “ the People’s Tribunal.

After that he killed the three High Court Judges in 1982. And as if that’s not enough, do you also remember how John Bull Mahama’s administration trampled down the Judiciary after the supreme court ruled in favor of his 2012 electoral victory over Akufo-Addo?  

Shortly after that the criminal kingpin Mahama called the bluffs on the Supreme Court by allowing his thugs “ those Montie 3 morons to threaten the then Chief Justice Mrs Theodora Woods; that “they would seize her and marry her by force”. Then after the Supreme Court convicted those three morons and sentenced them to serve six months jail time, John Mahama went ahead and released them with executive orders. He pardoned them against the advice of almost all the stake holders, especially the Ghana BAR association, the Ghana Legal Council among many others.   

Even at the time most of the Justices at the Supreme Court were his appointees he refused to give them the due respect, when will the NDC allow the Judiciary to undertake their duties without fear of favor or interference?

Until Parliament and law makers constitutionally abolish the practice of political appointments, these pretending hypocrites and corrupt politicians will continue to curse Ghana by selfishness, greedy, corruption and abuses to see repeated disasters in society, because the evil that men do lives after them. Parliament must ensure that all top government officials are elected by votes. That is a genuine democracy. So, the CJ, EC, IGP, Ministers, Public CEOs, Public Directors and all heads of public institutions must be elected by votes from at least their stakeholders. For example, all the professionals in the health sector must elect the minister of health who will report to the president and the elected minister can choose his or her deputy, assistant, running mate or next in command just as the president chooses his or her running mate. The same can apply to all other sectors. So, the people of judiciary can choose their judges (Supreme court, high court and district court judges) but setting their own standards outside politics. That will be considered a genuine democracy of transparency, fairness and equal opportunities or equal chances for any good persons to also have the right to lead in government without barriers or discrimination or political biases. The CJs suspension was triggered by certain allegations made against her by certain individuals and according to the Constitution, the President has to act . A investigative conmmittee was establish to look into the matter.
The CJ herself is/should be aware anytime somebody is under investigation that person has to recuse himself/herself which she should have done. The President suspended her pending the outcome of the investigation. If she is vindicated she goes back to her job and position.
Nobody has ever said she is not being paid. I believe she is still be paid so her suspension has not put into a finiancial stress.

Let's wait for the outcome.
Thie writer of this article has been suspended before when a lie was levelled against me by somebody. After the investigation, I was reinstated and compensated for my pain and suffering.

If the government is headed by the executive and the executive is headed by the President and the President sends petitions to the Council of State to commence removal processes, then it follows that the executive is spearheading the removal of the CJ.
