    What if I had a complete engine change because the VIN number will be different from the VIN on the dashboard and the seat belt area? Can you please advise how to legalise?

    If the VIN on dashboard and the driver-side door pillar near the seatbelt are intact, that data would be sufficient to trace the car’s year of manufacture and genuine ownership history. 2 out of 3 should be enough.

    Most of the officials at EOCO are villagers that don't jack about cars. Please stop this foolishness and investigate Customs at the ports. They make these car stealing syndicates succeed.

    Go to the ports and harbours and put in rigorous checks for 2nd hand cars and catch the the thieves there.
