As popular as Ken Agyapong claim he is, one would have expected him to turned his constituency into a Bantama or a Ketu South. Yet they lost the seat to the NDC. Dome Kwabyena which historically has about a 35,000 vote margin was taken too.

The NPP to me lost mainly on Economic grounds, Akuffo Addo's dead goat syndrome and the NDC's effective propaganda campaign. Obviously they had no message as usual. Even Jesus Christ would have lost as an NPP candidate. Times were hard.

Lemme also add that it was also because the NPP has done the usual 8 years and people wanted change.

How many Muslim majority nations will allow Christian Ministers and a Vice-President? I listened to Bryan Acheampong’s speech and found nothing near the accusations of tribal or religious bigotry. Fact is that the Mamprusi-Kusasi conflict is a legitimate concern when the candidate is for or from one side. It needs cool heads to navigate these sensitive matters, not emotions. As for Samira, Dr. Bawumia should point to Zimbabwe. They had a Ghanaian First Lady. Yahya Yammeh and Faure Gnassingbe too in Gambia and Togo. The Man with vision and ideas should outline a clever policy proposal instead of playing the religious and tribal card.

You knew about Bawku conflict and how your tribe was involved. Why didn't you attempt anything? Your inability to do anything about it made the party lose votes in all those areas. Secondly, what happened to Zongo votes? Perhaps, NPP lost votes due to Samira's campaign. People might have gotten angry with her family's unlawful demolitions, her attacks on Kennedy Agyepong and her fulani tribesmen raping and killing of ghanaians. Anybody affected by any of these wouldn't vote for you because, you failed to address these issues.

Moreover, the country fell into economic difficulties and you failed to speak to the minds and hearts of ghanaians, to give hope of a better tomorrow. Trying to blame Nana Addo for anything bad made you lose votes. There are many NPP members who love Nana Addo and extended that love to you. So trying to disassociate yourself from him made you lose favor with such people.

Moreover, your long awaited choice of vice president wasn't good. After waiting and waiting and waiting, not knowing it was Napo. His undermining of Nkrumah was a total blunder and non of you were able to do damage control. He himself unrepentantly tried but his apology was full of arrogance and showed no remorse.

These are my facts. A word to the wise, is enough!
