Let us take Politics out of this and make Burkina Faso responsible for such spillages. They need to spill at the right time but not to make the dam full and spill to destroy the farms and properties of Ghanaians. Take Burkina Faso to the World Court and let her be responsible for any such destruction and make compensation for any such destruction caused by flooding from their dams. If push comes to shove, let Ghana threaten her with war and overthrow of her Government. That can make their Political Authorities reason. We have the Military Force.

So if there is going to be a spillage, it should be done early enough but not when the volume of the dam has reached its peak. Ghana should, or can threaten Burkina Faso with the destruction of their dam if she allows such unprecedented spillovers to cause destruction in Ghana. That is plain and simple.

The farmers should stop farming along the river banks to avoid being affected by the yearly spillage. They should wisely move to higher grounds. This is common sense.
