The OSP in my view has not failed especially after reading the developments shared in their seventh half-yearly report. The OSP is currently prosecuting 27 persons in eight (8) different prosecutions that are ongoing in Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale. They have also secured one (1) conviction under the Republic vs Charles Bissue & Andy Thomas Owusu case where Andy Thomas plea bargained and paid 200,000 to the state as restitution for accepting 15,000 to influence a public officer. They have also convicted six (6) others through plea bargaining under the Ghana Education Service payroll fraud investigation which jointly conducted with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department. Through the joint investigation, the OSP suspended GH¢2,854,144.80 and removed the names of deceased, retirees, and post vacators from the government payroll, saving the country GH¢34,249,737.06. Aside that the OSP has suspended 970 million cedis worth of transactions or contracts by government institutions or officers under investigation due to suspected corruption. That in my view is not wasting of taxes. That in my view is not failure.

The OSP is not shielding anyone. They reported that they had extensively investigated Cecilia Dapaah regarding the large amounts of money and other valuable items and identified strong indications of suspected money laundering and structuring. As you may be aware, the OSP does not have the mandate to go into such matters and have referred it to EOCO for further action.

On Ofori Atta, the OSP took the first steps to ensure Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta’s name is on the INTERPOL red Notice for his location and provisional arrest in the jurisdiction he is found, pending his extradition or surrender. The Office has also dispatched a request through the Attorney General for his extradition to the republic of Ghana. I must admit that extradition processes go through various levels of checks from the jurisdiction where the person is located. These processes take some time, and can be complex, time-consuming, and it may take weeks or even months for him to be transferred to Ghana.

As for Cecilia Dapaah, I don't know her and where she stays like I will go and pour talcum powder over her for not having stolen state funds. I don't know her but from day one I have defended her since her issue came up. In my own small corner, I have held a strong conviction that the woman will sail through. I thank God for her that after all the disgrace and embarrassment, she has been found of no wrong doing. All the 'against' people must bow their heads in shame. Who says every politician is greedy and corrupt? Madam continue to pursue your case against those thieves who have caused you such nonsense, pain and emotional stress. What annoys me the most is those who haven't seen what life is entail and just drag people's names in the mud just bcos of politics. I know for sure you and your husband have a good conscience, opened minds and pure hearts that have made you what you are today. It's not politics that has brought you this far but hard work and perseverance which is missing in our youths today. You and your husband are role models and it's only discerning minds will see it.

The office of the OSP should submit policy papers that should place prohibition on government for the advocacy of dual citizenship.
While at it the policy papers should include a request of government, going forward, to never secure travel passports and visas for government and civil or public servants beyond a 3- year term. A government is not going to send a bunch of officers around the globe within the first year in office neither are many of them going to travel in year 4 fir things they could not achieve by end of 3-years in office. The visa process and VIP passport scheme undermines governments own efforts to investigate and prosecute people that we enable to leave our shores with ease.
For example, Ken Ofori-Atta and others were able to collect salaries and benefits from the government knowing that they can escape to their home of residence when their powers come to an end. On the other hand, what is the percentage of Ghanaians who having no prior access to foreign nations and having no VIP passport or more than 3- year visas have escaped the office of the OSP while under investigation?

Dismiss this hopeless OSP. How come that Ken Ofori Atta is still not in the country to face prosecution and why is it taking so long to investigate Cecilia Dapaah? Our judicial system is rotten.
