Now from Fankyeneko to Kote ye Aboa everyone uses mobile phone with internet access. We now have eye-reporters everywhere including Sikaman forest.
We must also talk about Asuoyaa train disaster that killed more than 22 citizens and more than injured more than 233.

(KWAME DADA) is my cousin from KYEBI AMANFROM. We should leave politics out from accidents and natural calamities.
When I watched the state burial of yesterday, it reminded me of what happened in 2002. May their souls rest in peace.

Had Akuffo Addo maintained our military helicopters well, this accident might not have happened. How many military helicopters were there in 2016? How many did he hand over in 2024? Now you see the difference?

If you look closely, you'll see that the re-published story was done by an airforce soldier, an airman to be precise, called Flight Sergeant William Peprah, and he correctly categorized the soldiers as two officers and three other ranks who are actually officers too, however, are non-commissioned so are known as NCOs. These military journalists are highly trained for their tasks. With the proliferation of media houses and lately social media, anybody at all writes what he likes. These untrained journalists now call every soldier an officer, and we look on. I am not surprised by your observation, but kindly know that, the difference you observed is due to Flight Sergeant William Peprah, whom I don't know if is in active service now, which I doubt; most likely retired long ago.

Kojo, Sorry for your loss. That shelling of the GNS Yogaga, or so, was a huge tragedy I remember. Young officers and ratings lost their lives. Yes, your age then didn't allow you to experience the grief that gripped the whole military establishment then. Those of us in the barracks at that time really grieved and empathised with the bereaved families. You couldn't even eat well. They were heroes. They were the first batch of soldiers who went to Liberia. This recent helicopter one appears to be more grievous because civilians are included. They are now tasting it for the first time. Military families have been going through these misfortunes since long ago. Be consoled my brother. Make your father proud by working hard and being honest too. May God Almighty bless you and your family. Hmm.

Sorry for your loss bro. It is well. Not sure if your father was in the airforce or army. Find out which arm of service he belonged, the names of the service commanders are public. Find out where he lives. Write a nice letter requesting to meet him and the reason why. Make copies of your letter, send a copy addressed to, for eg. The Chief of Army Staff, etc. to the headquarters where the commander is and submit it to the reception. Try as much as possible to send one to his residence. Don't be intimidated. Trust me! I know what I'm saying. Definately you'll meet guards at the gate. Tell them your story and ask to see the service commander. At least try by asking. You can even beg them. Please not bribe. They might even arrest you and rough you up. If they don't allow you to see the commander, leave the letter with the guards and beg them to hand it over to the commander. Those guards must have a conscience since they are in your late father's shoes now, and knowing that it could have been them. And pray. All the best.
