  Our elders admonish us that the deadly rib disease (mpafee) will strike anyone who successfully throws a stone across the breadth of the river Frao. Mpafee doesn't strike the same day. But it does strike when you least expect it. He who goes around doing evil willy nilly eventually pays the price.
  Maamah sacked the whole top brass of the military just because he could.
  In 2024, he swore that Ghana would be destroyed unless akufo addo declared a state of emergency over galamsey and deploy the army to kill galamsey before the election. Then he won the election and got sworn into office. He suddenly had this epiphany: there's no need to declare a state of emergency because the galamsey fight to save the environment is not a sprint, but a marathon.
  Both his Defence and the Environment ministers paid a painful price!
