This companies have been evading or manipulating our laws and getting away with it. They connive with local entities to the detriment of the masses. They have monopolized the market for too long, but this time, they've been cornered. The minister must stand his grounds without compromise.

It doesn't matter how much dstv charges its a private company and forces nobody to subscribe to its services. This disguised price control and it is dangerous. Can anyone who knows this guy to seek the works of Marcus Aurelius one of the greatest emperors that ever lived. He walked around all day with a slave walking next to him all day too. Sam George, as you can see from the public comments, Ghanaian consumers are solidly behind you in your push for a rate reduction for them.
One salient point that baffles me is whether the original Agreement gives DStv a Monopoly. If that is the case, then Sam George, it is about time to call for the renegotiation of the Agreement. Even though your action may incur International recriminations and outcries, that shouldn't be a concern as long as you know from the deepest of your heart that you are standing and fighting for the people. On the other hand, if the agreement is silent on Monopoly, you have no choice but to look around the Globe for other providers willing to come and provide service to Ghanaians.
Lastly, Sam George, whether the Monopoly is embedded in the Agreement or not, the Country needs other service providers to counter any ugly price gouging. I wish you the best and hope you'll stand firm on your principles and not let Ghanaians down.

I don't understand this DSTV people. Reduce your charges, more customers will come in and you will make more money. See, DSTV compact is GHC 380.00 a month, say multiplied by 100 customers=GHC 38,000.00
Now assuming DSTV reduce their charges and compact is now GHC GHC 250.00 with 100 more subscribers coming to join the existing 100 giving them GHC 250 multiplied by 200 subscribers= GHC 50,000.00
Which of these 2 scenarios is more profitable?
The fact that DSTV Ghana keeps calling their subscribers anytime they fail to renew their subscription should tell them their charges are high. Apart from football and Nat Geo wild, what again?
Question is why can't Ghanaian business tycoons like Osei kwame despite, Kennedy Agyapong, Joseph Siaw Agyapong (Zoom lion), Sam jonah, Ibrahim Mahama ( engineers and planners), Kweku Oteng, Cheddar etc come in with an alternative to DSTV.
What is it that South Africa has which Ghana doesn't have for DSTV to be bullying us?
