  JDM can't stop galamsey bcos it was a campaign promise made to Obuasi galamseyers. At a meeting in Obuasi, ndc women's organiser for Obuasi West made a promise that if they (galamseyers) vote massively for ndc and ndc come to power, no one would chase them out from their activities. It's for this reason that not long after the president sworn in some galamseyers forcibly entered Anglogold Ashanti area of operation and were shot dead. That incident safe the company otherwise, the galamseyers would have taken over the concession as it happened during JDM's first term forcing the company to shut down. That responsible cooperative mining launching was fake and got nothing to do with fighting galamsey activities.
