It’s unfortunate for the loss of life in the military helicopter accident. But why on earth is there no official statutory body in Ghana that is mandated to investigate any aircraft accident with established protocols, policies, processes and procedures? Whether these accidents are frequent or not is immaterial, just in case someone thinks that way.
Parliament in Ghana, set up a statutory body to investigate all aircraft crashes going forward. Come on this is done in many many countries. If such a body already exists, then they FAILED miserably.

The radar operators should have known the whereabouts of the chopper immediately it went off radar and the exact location. The time of the disappearance of chopper and when authorities became aware was about an hour or two meaning, Ghana is in the hands of fools.

It was the civilians in the areas who alerted local authorities before they relay messages to Accra, and that is exactly what happened meaning, the crash area has been compromised making any investigation impossible.

The local people got there before the arrival of security personnel and they got there with intention of saving lives. The nearest military barracks is in Kumasi so you can imagine. They became bystanders as there wasn't much they could do to safe lives. I the security personnel themselves were overwhelmed by what they found at the scene so securing the scene never came up. They should have been on top of the situation but I think the crash took better part of them. For the debris, bring it for money isn't the way to go but rather, collaboration is needed with the opinion leaders in order to achieve that objective. To bring the debris to RCC and collect the money or where? They may think that they will be arrested so they won't come forward.
