It shouldn’t be the business of government to directly feed the people. Government creates the environment and provides the resources needed for people to feed themselves. These include creating jobs, providing the appropriate educational opportunities where people can use to establish their own businesses after their education. Government creates the opportunities for people to use. As much as I have sympathy for the farmers, we have become too dependent on others to feed ourselves. Our expectations almost always exceeds reality. Ask about those who have relatives abroad and how much pain they go through having a whole community depending on them for their daily bread. Ghanaians abroad are dying of emotional distress due to the pressure they have from their relatives in Ghana. Yes Ghana is hard, but permanent dependency on others is not the solution.

They didn’t cordoned off the whole community. It is the area of the accident, and how big do you think it is? When did the accident happen, a year ago? People always have food stuff at home which can last for some days in the farming areas. To complain of starvation now is simply attempting to take advantage of a terrible situation. Dependency and entitlement mentality is what I was talking about and you just supported my view.

Actions have consequences. You just sacked the top brass of the armed forces. See what happened to the Defence minister? You have now discovered that there's no need for a declaration of the state of emergency over galamsey which you clamoured for in 2024 during yourcampaigns. You see what happened to the Environment minister? You just swindled cocoa farmers. You see how it all ended with cocoa farmers carrying the remains in cocoa sacks? A word to the wise is enough.
