  A 9-year-old has been caught stealing sugarcane from someone’s farm. If such behavior is left unchecked, there’s a risk the child may grow up repeating the same actions. Sometimes, it’s necessary to correct our young ones when they do wrong, especially if it’s not the first time. When authorities overlook these incidents, it can unintentionally encourage the child to continue taking what doesn’t belong to them.
  
  That said, the farmer must also understand that he cannot take the law into his own hands. In such cases, the best approach is to report the matter to the child’s parents and have them take responsibility for any damages. Ultimately, the actions of a minor fall under the responsibility of their parents, and both discipline and guidance should go hand in hand
