For your education, not every passenger or crew mwmber dies in an accident. So you never knows. Furthermore, if the pilot was as experienced as we are made to conclude, its highly likely that he could possibly have made a successful emergency landing, if need be, anywhere remote on that vast Sahara Desert and saved a number of passengers including you.
