What if these folks never return to Ghana? Ghana has embassies across the globe. Why can't these embassies assist the Ghana government to locate and bring action to collect student loans owed to the government? And are you aware that some Ghanaians change their names and obtain new passports once they relocate to other countries? The Ghana embassies around the globe need to work with immigration authorities in other countries to assist locate Ghanaians who owe student loans to the Ghana Ghana government. That can be done by using private investigation companies to help locate the defaulters once there is credible information about which countries they've relocated to.

Very stupid. Instead of garnishing the wages of the loan defaulters, you choose to prosecute employers of loan defaulters. What law in Ghana states that it's against the law to hire student loan defaulters? Are you crafting your own silly laws that you very know won't have any legs to stand on in court? And isn't that a waste of Ghana's resources by wasting resources and time prosecuting employers who have not broken the law or any contract with the government?

And who says employers are going to keep your defaulters employed? Is there any shortage of unemployed people in Ghana? Instead of supporting employers, we always come up with new ways of overburdening them. Shithole country!

They can try it, but they will surely fail in court. Can this Minister show anywhere in the contracts between the student borrowers and the government where it clearly stipulates that any employer who hires a loan defaulter will be prosecuted? And what law is this Minister going to rely on in trying to prosecute employers who hire student loan defaulters? Nothing but a waste of tax payers' time and resources by clueless government officials.

Blame shifting is a fine art here. No one is ever held accountable for their own faults. Politicians and Religious steal and defraud millions upon millions annually. Graduate unemployment and underemployment are the root cause of generational poverty and all these career corrupt politico's can think of is to punish a 3rd party who's job is absolutely not the governments debit collector. Recover all the embezzled funds from scandalous politicians...that will cover everyone's student loan debt. Student loans are just another ponzi scheme to keep poor people poor. Most graduates are grossly underpaid and barely surviving.
