In the murky world of political thuggery, only the unwise take sides or even make comments about certain arising incidents in the public domain. It seems that the NDC, like all the other political parties here in Ghana, has no internal ethical control mechanisms to manage or keep in check the conduct of their leading functionaries - especially the relatively new rising stars in their midst.

I was pleasantly surprised that after Sammy Gyamfi's heavily publicized and damaging mishap on the issue of the donation of a huge amount of money to Prophetess Agradaa, this new NDC MP, Ewurabena Aubyn, has recently gone ahead to visit and donate large sums of money to some so-called men of God. Then today, she publicly comes out, seemingly in defense of one of the NDCs most hated opponents, Hawa Koomsoon - a known political thug in her own rights. This news will not be well-received at the grass-roots of the NDC and I'm beginning to wonder whether Ewurabena Aubyn is politically grounded to do the job that she was voted to do.
