This is sheer STUPIDITY. I don't quite know where Akuffo-Addo dug this FOOL of an OSP from? This guy should pray that NDC remains in power for ever. He will certainly not go free after this blatant abuse of state power to punish perceived political enemies. His day of reckoning will surely come, no matter how long it takes. And they should go ahead and destroy peoples properties in their foolishness to settle their personal scores. Justice can be delayed but will certainly not be denied.

From Hope to Horror: Ghana’s Human Rights Image Is Collapsing Before Our Eyes?
As a Ghanaian abroad, it pains me deeply to watch my beloved country fall into disgrace—not because of war or famine, but because of leadership choices that trample on the very rights we claim to uphold. Even in foreign classrooms, courtrooms, and cafes, Ghana’s shame is becoming our silent badge of dishonor.
I write this with a heavy heart—not out of malice, but out of bitter disappointment. Sitting thousands of miles away, I watch the developments in Ghana and wonder: How did we get here? How did a proud nation, once hailed as a beacon of democracy in Africa, become a global example of state-sanctioned human rights embarrassment?
Even my classmates studying law here in Canada mock Ghana’s recent record on human rights. Friends of Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) are in disbelief. And shockingly, individuals who once criticized Donald Trump’s governance style—and seriously considered relocating to Ghana—are now changing their minds, citing Ghana’s worsening track record on justice and civil liberty as a clear red flag.
But let me be clear—I don’t blame those reacting to this international disgrace. I blame those who refused to heed the warnings of outspoken voices like Honorable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. Those who ignored the signs and entrusted critical offices to individuals not led by fairness, but by political vendetta.
To the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), your role is not to punish the people, but to uphold justice. Today, you may sit on the high horse of power. But tomorrow, you will be an ordinary citizen again. And when that day comes, will your conscience be clean? Will your children carry pride or shame in their family name?
Remember this: political hatred is temporary, but the consequences of injustice ripple for generations. When power fades, only your legacy remains. Don’t let curses follow your children because of choices rooted in vengeance and not law.
Kissi Agyebeng, take a moment to reflect. Open the Bible—not as a ritual, but as a mirror. Jesus, even in persecution, preached fairness. After his resurrection, when his followers wanted revenge, he told them to live peacefully with all brethren. Can you say you are leading with the same spirit?
Yes, by all means, invite suspects, question them, prosecute them. But let it be within the bounds of law—not selective persecution. Let the courts decide, not your personal grudge.
Because when the power leaves—and it surely will—you will remember this truth: “Exchange is no robbery.” What you do to others today will be done to you or your children tomorrow.
Ghana deserves better. And it starts with leadership that fears God more than it fears losing power.
And yet, where are they now?
The very clergy who once stood on pulpits and declared to the nation that God had chosen Mr. John Dramani Mahama to succeed Nana Akufo-Addo—where are their voices today? Silent. Muted. Absent. The same Ghanaians who heeded their prophetic calls and voted with hope now watch in horror as inhumane acts unfold, while these self-proclaimed messengers of God offer no rebuke, no lament, no truth.
And the journalists? The bold, brash media voices who once tore into Akufo-Addo’s administration, blaming him for every pothole, power cut, and policy failure—they have developed sudden sore throats. The ink has dried up. The microphones have gone cold.
What about the civil society warriors? The red-clad protestors who marched with fury through the streets, fists raised, chanting “Tsooooooboi!” — they’ve vanished into the shadows. No demonstrations. No press conferences. No fire in their bones.
Has everyone gone blind and deaf—or are they simply bought and compromised?
Let it be known: Time is no respecter of persons. Today you stay quiet because it suits you. But aseɛm bɛba daabi—the day of reckoning will come. The truth always resurfaces, and when it does, silence will no longer be protection. It will be guilt.

This argument won’t fly. Property of others can be used to post bail while they serve as sureties that that accused will appear before court. The requirement for a citizen to own landed property before they are able to get bail from the OSP is unreasonable.
Also, to say that the property will serve as assurance that the accused will appear before the authorities again does not fly in this case since the bail requirement was to provide two landed properties OF ANY VALUE. This gives weight to the argument that the bail is being used as a form of punishment.
Don’t get me wrong, Paul is an ass and a thief but we need to play by the rules in order to secure justice
