I'm in the U. S. and pay $80 (@800 cedi) a month for unlimited fast data, plus free data around the world when I visit other countries.
I find Ghana is the only country I have problems with my data. Constantly dropping and buffering. If I buy a SIM and 20gb data it's fine in 2 days and I didn't use even half that at home in a month!

You think users are stupid and don't know what we are talking about? We have not changed our browsing behaviour, neither have we installed new apps yet as soon as it was announced that data prices have come down our data started draining off quickly. We are not that dumb as you and the telecos think we are.

Current data and voice pricing in Ghana is largely cosmetic and doesn't reflect actual usage or cost. In reality, consumers are receiving only about 60% of what they pay for. For example, if you purchase a 120-minute voice bundle and make a 10-minute call, your balance may drop to 104 minutes instead of 110—suggesting you're being charged more than you actually use. This inefficiency and hidden cost structure reduce transparency and value for money.

My GHS 400 bundle takes more than 8 months to deplete because I only 144p and not 720p or 1080p unless I need juicy details of the videos. I have worked remotely since 2009 and know most Ghanaian users are still illiterates about data usage. I don't like the telcos either but the fact is they don't constantly steal from their users. They occasionally do it.

There is no doubt that the whole system of pre-payment services allows the Providers excess opportunity to cheat the consumers who have barely any chance to getting prompt redress. The Public can only hope for the companies to operate with high integrity. This is why the Minister should continue to open his ‘doors’ and ears to hear customers’ complaints and directly take the companies to task upon acknowledging the complaints.
Aside from the Internet delivery, the Minister must investigate the constant dropping of Phone calls which more strongly suggests either bandwith restrictions or a possible multiple collection of reconnection fees that could eat into the normative amount of time for the credits purchased by the consumer.
More, such frequent disruptive dropping of calls hampers Business interactions. So far, Sam George had been doing a great job.,Kudos to him.
