Just an avenue for these disgruntled officers to be extorting money from travellers. They extort money from especially, Nigerians and allow them in. The extortion is worse at the Aflao border.

The check points have resulted in the arrest of drug peddlers with truck loads of weed. The 1 minute walk to board a vehicle should not cause the closure of these check points.

These Chiefs want their Togolese AYIGBE people to come and settle in Ghana and enjoy Free Education and Health Care that NPP gave Ghanaians. Send them back to Togo to face Eyadema.

I travelled from Hungary to Germany through Austria by private car,no check point,no vehicle checking till we reached Germany state called Nunsberg.

I remember in 2018 when I came to Ghana to see the check point at Asikuma. They are a batch of nuisance lads over there. To me Togbui is on point
I think you will do more than this as Chiefs in the region.
Because they want to set up their own illegal checkpoints to collect bribes from illegal immigrants from Togo, Burkina, Benin, Nigeria, Mali and Chad!
They wont go anywhere today nor tomorrow!

The Asikuma one in particular must go. They a nuisance, these guys there wanted to profile me but protested and still wanted to detain me as well until a friend military officer came to my rescue

All internal, in country immigration check points should be removed, there are too many of them, nuisance and not needed, period.

The importance of these checkpoints outweigh its setbacks. This is just the matter of changing the officers at the area. A lot of illegal goods pass through there which will go a long way affecting those in Accra and Kumasi. ...
