  I was surprised to hear Ofori Amponsah talk about how long it took Lumba to finally produce his first album. While Amponsah seemed to have no issue with that, I saw so much manipulation right there. According to Amponsah, Lumba described him as so talented and would become like him. Lumba instantly gave him money to record a proper demo. That to me sounds like someone who feared Amponsah was going to be a strong competitor and thus determined to slow his growth. That explains why he signed a contract with the young lad, to block him from getting produced by any other person.
  
  Otherwise, I don’t understand why it took six years to produce him, and even through those years, Amponsah had to perform some chores for him, just a desperate attempt to prove to Lumba that he needed his help. Wickedness.
