Through democracy Mahama can be taken off the sit and through democracy he can be given more years. Ghanaians wrote the constitution and Ghanaians can review it once there is a provision. The constitution came to meet Ghana and not the other way round.

The imposition of a two-term limit was an undemocratic decision taken by a few people who do not only distrust the full practice of democracy itself but in addition, fear the will of the people. I believe that the people should be freely allowed to vote for or against anybody whom they so wish, as many times as they like or choose to. The fear of aspirants rigging elections to stay in power will always be there whether the aspirant is a first-timer, second-timer or fourth-timer or whatever. Cheating once to attain power is as bad as cheating several times to remain in power and we know that politicians - all politicians everywhere, make the effort to gain advantage by employing all sorts of unsavory means to win power. Let us not continue to be hypocrites or uneducated by pretending that we do not know this. In any case, one Party staying in power for a long time is as good or as bad as two or three particular Parties with the same agenda also staying in power forever without showing any evident results of progress.

The greatest danger of artificially limiting terms of Office is the possibility of cutting short the period of governance of a rare and exceptionally good leader.

Barring exceptions such as foreign meddling to keep some countries subjective to the whims of other more powerful and exploitative countries, many properly educated and sensible people believe that it is only the collective will of a conscious people that can keep a good govt in power or kick a bad govt out of power.

Mahama should leave after his second term and give chance to others to also show their capabilities. Knowledge doesn't reside in one man's head. That's how God has made it, and so will it remain forever. A government is not one man, but a group of people who think together. If Mahama is doing well, it's because of the people he works with. So, let peace prevail as everyone abides by the Constitution of 1992, which Mahama became President under it.

Indeed most parts of the world have never been privileged enough to enjoy the benefits of this rare type of outstanding leadership and that is why when they do emerge, humanity must hold them like eggs and keep them in leadership as long as is necessary. As for the common unproductive and destructive types of men who fool the populace and sneak into leadership positions, they can come and go at the wish and will of voting people. Leadership - good or bad in families, organizations and nations decide everything. Electoral systems must prioritize on quality of persons that are presented for elections rather than on the free-for-all circus where donkeys, wolves, elephants, doves, cats, dogs and sharks are given free and easy reign to contest.

Mr Blay wants a law change so that any President who would excel to the expectation of the people would be given the opportunity to further his good work instead of being forced to curtail his good work as a result of constitutional prohibition.
IT IS SAID THAT HE WHO CLIMBS A GOOD TREE DESERVES A PUSH. ON THIS BASIS, WHAT WOULD BE THE CRIME, IF THE MASSES DECIDE THROUGH AN ELECTION, THAT A PRESIDENT WHO HAS PERFORMED MUST BE RETAINED IN OFFICE?
THE FACT IS MOST GHANAIANS ARE BECOMING WISER AND FOR THIS REASON WOULD NOT HESITATE TO KEEP A PRESIDENT WHO HAS PERFORMED BETTER IN OFFICE IF GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY BY THE LAW. The matter of president for life and two terms president is like beauty, that depends on the beholder.
Thus when it comes to presidential terms, US and her allies prefer to have their puppets in power for life, whiles they are against people who refuse their puppetry stings from extending their presidency beyond even one hour.
Even currently the US and her allies want to install a monarchy in Iran, whiles they are against people whose political parties chose on family line to become presidents.
However, presidents for life in most instances is better from countries which leaders came the serve their people and not to help others exploit them.
We can all see what the current President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin did for his people, also those who came before him, Stalin and Brezhnev.
The same applies to Mao Tse Tung, Kim Jung Ill and most leaders of socialist Eastern European nations and Fidel Castro of Cuba.
They came to power to serve their people and not to be tools in the hands of foreign powers.
